Our sales team is complemented by a new staff member
01.07.2013

To reinforce our particular customer orientation, Mr. Axel Knorz was employed on 1 July 2013 as additional member of the sales team. Building on his 32 year experience in PCB sales, Mr. Knorz is a particular asset for the sales team, both in the back office and in the field. This strategically important personnel decision enables us to continue the course of expansion which E&K have successfully embarked on.

20 years of E&K Leiterplatten GmbH
01.01.2013

Starting from a student's job to become successful manufacturers of printed circuit boards
Already during their school time the general managers of E&K, Matthias Esser und Hans-Peter Kleuter, learned the basics in the PCB business. Later they were employed as executive managers at the company Hofer Electronic based in Baesweiler.

Business Minded Thinking
on 1 January 1993 the two managers were given the opportunity to start their own business by taking over the Wassenberg based firm Boldt Electronic. The partners, being business minded and abreast of technologies, experienced a rapid expansion of their business, so that they soon looked out for new premises. They settled in Heinsberg-Oberbruch, where the company is located still today.

Further Expansion
In 1999, the company took over extensive machinery from the Dutch company ACS B.V. and enlarged the production facilities at its Heinsberg site in 2001. These development contributed towards the dynamic development of E&K.

Optimistic Outlook
Today, E&K Leiterplatten consider themselves as a reliable manufacturer of printed circuit boards wo is able to provide both small and medium series as well as large series from Taiwan and China at very short notice. The General Managers Mr Esser and Mr Kleuter look back to two decades of sucessful business that provides a good basis for them to sustain on the market for two more decades.

Relaunch of Website
01.10.2012

After the website has been redesigned and now has a new, modern look. The previous system was difficult to maintain, so that some sites were obsolete. By switching to more modern web technologies like AJAX, PHP5, MySQL, jQuery and JavaScript we were able to completely redesign and programme the sites. We also have developed a layout which is coherent in four languages.

E&K Leiterplatten obtains UL certification
10.02.2012

We experience an increasing demand for multi layer circuits with thick-copper on the inner layers. We have therefore applied for a UL Listing  relating to 105µ copper thickness on the inner layers. As E&K had the know-how to produce such multilayers already for a long time, the samples produced passed the UL test at the end of 2011.

Hence, E&K is now UL certified to produce multi layers with 105µ copper in the inner layers.

E&K Leiterplatten invests in new machinery
12.08.2011

E&K has invested in an Ottomat 6 brushing machine, which has been successfully used in various production environments for years. The machine is used for pretreatment of surfaces in the pcb production process.

Matthias Esser, management director of E&K: "Ottomat 6 is a high quality product thoroughly "Made in Germany" which reliably meets our high production demands. Among others we decided to buy a Dilg machine due to its favourable price performance ratio. We expect to achieve an enhanced production efficiency and reduced rejections soon which will positively impact on our Return on Investment."

Rüdiger Dilg, Managing Director of Otto Dilg GmbH: "The Ottomat 6 machine is particularly suited to optimise efficiency in PCB production. We are convinced that the plant thoroughly contribute to the satisfaction of E&K Leiterplatten due to ist reliability and durability."
